Cardivances is a collection of original magic built around strong effects, ingenious methods, and thoughtful construction. While card magic forms the heart of the book, Alejandro Guillier Farga also explores powerful and innovative ideas with coins, including effects built around the fascinating concept of transferring heat from one coin to another.
These routines explore a more physical and sensory dimension of magic, creating experiences that engage the audience not only through what they see, but also through what they can physically feel.
Throughout the book, Alejandro explores a wide range of plots and approaches, combining practical techniques with fresh ideas and carefully crafted routines designed to create powerful moments of astonishment. Classic plots are revisited from new perspectives, while original concepts and unconventional solutions offer magicians different paths toward creating deceptive and memorable magic.
Rather than simply presenting a collection of tricks, Cardivances explores the thinking and construction behind them. The material is designed to be performed, studied, and adapted, with an emphasis on clarity, audience impact, and the details that make an effect truly deceptive.
From cards and coins to ideas that explore the boundaries of sensory experience, each routine reflects Alejandro's particular approach to combining method, structure, and presentation. Cardivances is ultimately an invitation to explore new possibilities within close-up magic and to create moments of genuine astonishment that leave a lasting impression on the audience.
