A total highlight at Blackpool Magic Convention 2026 became completely sold out! George Iglesias proudly presents his newest creation:
The Springfield Effect!
Imagine a Master Prediction Act, a Confabulation Routine and a Headline Prediction, combines the three in one master act!
Based on a modern and iconic premise "The Simpsons have predicted everything!" comes a highly commercial routine you can perform on big stages (theatres, cruise ships, corporate events) or in close-up settings too, you choose! For years, The Simpsons have predicted historical events, but what if they could predict a new historic event created live by the audience?
The Springfield Effect is the perfect fusion of magic, mentalism, technology, and comedy. A fresh, colorful, and visually stunning effect that will refresh your show with laughter, amazement, and unforgettable moments.
A complete professional routine that makes you look like a star wherever you perform! A full act that packs flat but plays very, very big!
EFFECT:
The magician explains his love for this TV series and displays a collection of themed props: a
Springfield Herald newspaper (giant size), a Springfield Travel Agency brochure with a World Map, a set of unique cartoon-style Driver's Licenses of famous celebrities that appeared at the TV series and a special
Desk Calendar.
You present the
Springfield Herald, showing some news with pictures of famous predictions made by the Simpsons, getting laughs while clearly establishing the premise.
Five spectators then make seemingly free choices: a card, a date, a country, a celebrity and an animal, each selection is made using very clever, purpose-built methods and props.
You announce that The Simpsons also predicted this new and random historic event created by all. You now unfold the newspaper to reveal the giant headline:
- The date: Flash! September 26th
- A pink elephant floating on a cloud
- France with the Eiffel Tower
- Tom Cruise filming a movie
- A jumbo playing card hold by Tom
The chosen card is revealed as the Five of Hearts, but the spectator selected the Four of Hearts. No problem! The magician hits the poster on the back and the center heart drops dramatically to the floor, revealing the Four of Hearts printed on the headline. (Inspired by the famous and memorable trick Jumbo Sidekick)
But wait there is more! When the magician says this was predicted by the Simpsons, it was really predicted! Now for the big finale, the magician projects a 25 seconds video of The Simpsons showing all the selections predicted exactly as chosen, but in the TV series! This stunning climax can be shown on: Big projection screens / LED Screen / TV Screen / CCTV / Tablets, laptops, smartphones or even at social media.
A powerful, theatrical, and commercial prediction effect that packs small, plays big, and leaves audiences speechless.
